ABOUT ASSOCIATE FACULTY:
We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Instructor (Medical Assistant/Health Care Ancillaries)! o work with a dynamic, innovative teaching team. Mt. San Jacinto Community College District accepts Associate Faculty (Part-time) Faculty applications on an on-going basis for all disciplines. Applications which meet the required minimum qualifications are kept on file in an electronic format for six (6) months from the date the District verifies the applicant's qualifications. Various deans and/or department chairs will have access to these applications and as needs arise throughout the District they will contact those applicants they are interested in interviewing for positions they anticipate will become available.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor's degree; AND Two (2) years of professional experience; OR
An Associate's degree; AND Six (6) years of professional experience; AND
Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty and staff

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Evidence of successful clinical and administrative experience as a medical assistant; demonstrated knowledge of computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and computer programs used in physicians’ offices; demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Knowledge of:
Evaluation and assessment methods
Diverse learning styles and teaching strategies; demonstrated ability to work with and assist students having a great range of skills, motivation, and academic or vocational goals preferred; and demonstrated ability to review and evaluate curriculum and make recommendations.

Certified, Registered, or Licensed Phlebotomy Technician preferred (AMT, NPA, ASCLS, ASPT, NCCT, CDPH, or NHA); CPR certified (AHA preferred) may be considere
